Job Requirements and Experience
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Diploma: Industrial Engineering
• Project management(advantageous)
• 2-5 years
• E-Coating experience advantageous.

Technical skills and specialist knowledge:

• Computer literate(intermediate).
• Use of Measuring Equipment.
• Strong communication skills
• Leadership skills to deliver projects, processes & manufacturing improvements in a lean manufacturing environment
• Analytical thinker
• Problem Solving
• Team worker
• MS office

Key Responsibilities:

Elimination of Waste
o Implement and manage manufacturing improvements in line with delegated projects.
o Driving the business manufacturing excellence strategy by deploying lean principles in line with agreed projects.
o Identify, evaluate & implement improvement idea that result in tangible improvements in productivity, elimination of waste and deliver the objectives set out in the 4 pillar strategy
o Effective management and deployment of resource in line with delegated areas and projects
o Review PQs Monthly

Continuous improvement
o Manage A3 problem solving activity to eliminate waste & improve production within areas of control
o Manage ME data
o Manage continuous improvement projects

5s and Safety/Environment
o Comply with SHEMS procedures & requirements.
o Manage and improve 5s in the plant according to the 5s Audit sheet
o Manage and improve safety within the working area and meet safety targets for that area

o Implement & uphold quality standards to reduce defects within the plant, as per targets defined by the quality control board
o Quality Management: Engage with internal/external customers and respond to concerns/requests raised by the customer.
o Part Quality: Responsible for delegated elements of APQP process.


• Responsible for own personal attendance to ensure it is 98% on an ongoing basis.”

People development
• Responsible for own personal development in line with the company strategy.
• Enforce & adhere to all policies & procedures. ”

• Tend to concerns in area of responsibility and escalate according to escalation process.
• Carry out any reasonable instructions/ tasks given by the General Manager or Maintenance Manager.”
