  • Job Requirements and Experience
    • Grade 12
    • 1+ years’ minimum relative experience.
    • N6 / N Dip / B-tech Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronic Engineering


    Technical skills and specialist knowledge:

    • Some experience or internship in manufacturing process control (preferred but not mandatory).
    • Basic understanding of problem-solving and troubleshooting methodologies.
    • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment (preferred).
    • Attention to detail.
    • Basic technical and mechanical aptitude.
    • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications (desirable).
    • Basic computer skills (MS Office).


    Basic Function:

    Assist in overseeing and optimizing production processes while developing skills and knowledge in the field. The role involves supporting process monitoring, adjustments, and maintenance of equipment, learning to troubleshoot issues, and collaborating with various teams to contribute to process improvements.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Documentation Control
      • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of PI’s, WI’s, FMEA’s, Process Check Sheets.
      • Support the preparation of reports on production performance, process deviations, and improvement efforts.
      • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs) under supervision.


    • Collaboration
      • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gain experience in process support and troubleshooting.
      • Collaborate with process, quality, tooling, maintenance, projects, and production teams for ongoing learning and support.


    • Process Monitoring and Control:
      • Learn to analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
      • Collaborate with process, quality, tooling, maintenance, projects, and production teams to support the development and implementation of process improvements.
      • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as A3 Problem Solving, Gemba Walks, Kaizen, 5S, Total Quality Management, Manufacturing Excellence Program, Hoshin Kanri.
      • Use basic statistical and financial data to support Kaizens.


    • Problem Solving:
      • Assist in identifying and analyzing production issues, determining their root causes under supervision.
      • Support the development and implementation of effective solutions to resolve production problems promptly.
      • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address complex issues.
      • Continuously seek opportunities to anticipate and prevent potential problems through learning and observation.


    • People Development & Training:
      • Assist in training production staff on proper use of equipment and adherence to processes.
      • Provide basic technical support and guidance to team members under supervision.
      • Participate in self-development activities to enhance engineering skills.
      • Support the development and mentoring of students and interns.
